Your role and responsibilities

As a green independent power producer with a diverse portfolio of remote assets, our operations depend on secure, reliable and standardized connectivity. Robust IT/OT connectivity is essential for operational continuity, monitoring, control, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance. To strengthen our internal capabilities, Energy Solutions Group is looking for a Network Engineer with a strong interest in IT/OT who can manage, standardize and safeguard the connectivity of our renewable energy portfolio.

In this role, you will define, configure, maintain, standardize and document the network architecture across our portfolio. You will support the secure integration of new projects and acquisitions, ensuring that our network design, documentation and connectivity standards remain scalable, secure and reliable.

A key part of the role is enabling reliable communication between our cloud environment, monitoring platforms, control systems and remote asset infrastructure. You will deploy, maintain and troubleshoot remote connectivity, including VPN connections and support IT/OT communication for monitoring, control and curtailment applications, using industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP, MQTT and related technologies.

You will monitor network communication across the portfolio, investigate outages, coordinate third-party access and perform vulnerability management. Where required, you will coordinate and execute firmware upgrades and other network improvements in a controlled manner, with the objective of reducing operational risk and exposure to known vulnerabilities.
